Scholarship Categories
Recurring FCNSP Scholarships
The FCNSP offers several recurring scholarship categories, each aimed at recognizing and supporting a different segment of the Filipino Canadian student community. All scholarship streams share the basic eligibility criteria listed above.
Applicants may choose up to two scholarship categories to apply for in a single cycle. Multiple applications for the same scholarship in the same cycle are not allowed.
Each scholarship provides an award of $1,000 and typically has at least one recipient per category per year.
Exclusive Sponsored Scholarships
Sponsored exclusive scholarships operate on a distinct timeline and follow a separate application process. Applicants should carefully monitor the official instructions posted on the Scholarships page and stay connected through the FCNSP newsletter and social media channels for announcements and step-by-step guidance.
The eligibility requirements and timelines are set in collaboration with each sponsor, which means they may either align with or fall outside of the regular application cycle. In most cases, applicants who are identified as candidates for these sponsorships will also participate in a one-on-one meeting with the sponsor. This meeting provides an opportunity for the sponsor to personally assess the candidate’s qualifications.
Many of these sponsorships also extend beyond financial support, offering mentoring opportunities in which the sponsor serves as a mentor and the recipient gains direct guidance and professional development as a mentee.
